Khanik jumped in quickly and produced workable designs right from the start. For a very affordable price, I was able to get over one of the major and most important hurdles of launching a new business, the presentation and professional look. I will most likely use Khanik again for other design projects.

Marketing and Promotion

Even if you have the most amazing, efficient, beautiful web site in the world, it won’t do your business any good unless customers can find it. That’s where a good marketing plan comes in to make sure that your web site gets seen by the people that need to see it. We use a combination of time-tested methods to create a specialized marketing strategy, and put your business on the map.

When it comes to Internet advertising, many businesses, overwhelmed by the plethora of options, just buy a few pop-up ads and consider that enough. Before you take that route, though, think about it for a minute. Who really reads pop-up ads? To the average person, they’re nothing more than a nuisance, to be closed as quickly as possible. Many people block their Internet browsers from even opening such advertisements. Do you want your ad—and by extension, your company—to cause people annoyance whenever they come in contact with it? Probably not. Think about this as if it were ‘real world’—as in not just online—advertising. Would you want to be the company with the nice listing right in the front of the phonebook—or the one that mails out all the bothersome junk mail that no one ever reads?

The Internet can be used in very similar ways to a phonebook (and not just the special phonebook web sites, either). You just think of a business or service that you would like to utilize, type it into a search engine, like Google, and there’s a list of people you can call about getting the job done. In fact, the Internet can be better than the phonebook in this respect, because you don’t need to know the exact name of a business in order to find it. That can be of great advantage to someone who hasn‘t yet made a name for themselves online, if they know how to make the search engines work in their favor.

The traditional way to do this is SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. The way a search engine works is by cataloguing data from every web page it can find, sorting it into piles that it can later direct searchers to. SEO organizes your web site in such a way as to help the search engines, and make your site easier to catalogue. It’s sort of like how official forms request you to print in clear letters, to make filing easier. But, while SEO can yield great results, it can take a while. It can also be extremely expensive. While you’re waiting for your data to be organised, you could be losing customers.

That’s why we use not only SEO, but also a combination of many other methods, to make your business visible in both the long term and the short term. This includes listing your company in many high-traffic Internet directories (such as Yahoo Listings, Live Expo, Google Base, and Craigslist). These, again, are like Internet phonebooks, but specifically geared towards people looking for particular services or businesses. We also make use of pay-per-click advertising (such as ads by Google, MSN, Microsoft, and DoubleClick). In this type of marketing, an ad is put on a web site (or set of web sites), and stays there, advertising your company, until a certain number of people have clicked on it and followed the link. The advantage to this type of advertising is that you are just about guaranteed that you’ll have a certain number of visitors to your web site.

We’ll look at your company, industry, and budget, and design an advertising plan that is especially suited to your needs. We’ll help direct people to your web site. And if your site is impressive enough to hold your customers attention after that, then you’ll have a good shot at being really fantastic.
