Khanik jumped in quickly and produced workable designs right from the start. For a very affordable price, I was able to get over one of the major and most important hurdles of launching a new business, the presentation and professional look. I will most likely use Khanik again for other design projects.
People are very sensitive to colors. A certain color can make someone feel happy, sad, or any number of emotions. There are even studies that suggest that the colors blue green is an appetite suppressant, which is likely why most diet foods are packaged in those shades. It’s just as important to have good colors for your company, and to be consistent with them. If your website is purple, and your business cards are bright orange, people will probably be confused. Consistency is important, but so is the colors being complementary to each other. Even if you took your purple website and orange business cards, and mixed them together to make all of your material purple and orange, the colors would clash, and be off-putting to a lot of people. Your company’s ‘color image’ should be attractive, unique, and—unless you really want it to be—not garish.
Logos can be used to great effect in advertising. Having a good logo, that people recognize, can dramatically save time in TV advertising, or space in print ads. If people see your logo, and can remember your company from it alone, you won’t have to waste valuable time explaining to them what your company does. People have much better memory for images than they do for text, hence the saying that ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’. If they see your logo again the future, they will associate that image with your company, and can use it as an aid to recall the purpose of your business. For this reason, it is very important that your logo is unique. A common mistake is selecting a picture from a clip-art program as a logo. It’s understandable why so many businesses do this: it’s quick, it’s easy, and (if you already own the program) it’s free. But it’s also a serious blunder; at best people will associate your logo with clip-art, and at worst you might be contacted by the clip-art company, regarding the ‘for private use only’ that was stated on the box of the clip-art program.
If images and colors are effective on their own, they’re even more powerful when combined with words. The right slogans, mottos, and catch phrases can express in one sentence a person of business’s entire philosophy. This, along with a recognizable logo, can also reduce the time spent explaining your business. Even some of the biggest companies make the mistake of a pointless, unintelligent slogan. We will help you avoid that sort of confusing jumble, and assist you in creating a understandable, succinct message to represent your company. The font, or style of lettering, that items such as your slogan are written in can also be very specific to your company. Some large businesses even go so far as to create their own custom font. We are unable to offer that service, but we can help you find the font that’s right for you.
We aren’t promising that your brand will one day be as famous as the ones stated above; those companies have been around for many years, and have unspeakable amounts of money with which to plaster their branding to anything that sits still long enough (and a few things that don’t). We are, however, offering a professional, memorable image that will do nothing but bolster your success.
